I always thought that the fuss around the Rocky saga was worth a few spinoffs. After seeing that a not exactly terrific movie like DareDevil generated its spinoff, the ugly among the ugliest "Elektra" (God bless Jennifer Gardner's body anyway) I am SURE that few occasions were truly wasted. So........here are few ideas of mine: 1) Mickey Goldmill: his prime, his rise and fall, his loss due to the fact he didn't have a manager, his determination to become one and pass all that he learned to a guy worth passing that 2) Clubber Lang: 11th son of a huge family from Chicago, his juvenile jail time for stealing to eat, his learning of the boxing basics in prison, his coming back to freedom and becoming a pro, what cemented his anger, his rise and, surprise, his re-gaining of the title right after the Balboa-Drago bout in Moscow (with Rocky retired). His retiring as World Champ. 3) Duke Evers: from being a bum to become a trainer and a manager and the discovering of a teenager who would have become one of the greatest boxers ever, Apollo Creed 4) Drago into pro boxing after the fall of the Soviet Union, his 50-0-0 pro record and the gain of the World Title only to retire undefeated, possibly some involvment of Rocky as a menthor for his career (not a manager), stressing the fact that he won the russian bout with his heart and that is all Drago needs to become champ in the pro

If they did a Mickey prequel, I'd love it if they didn't reveal who he (the man character) was until the VERY end of the film...give the audience a gasp.

Oh yea! That would be a killer. However, they would probably find it hard to market it otherwise - it would be the Micky angle that sold it

I think that any story about former nemesises finally getting along is mouth-watering, that's why we all missed C.Lang in RB as a commentator (at least) since he would have been pretty much in a more Balboa oriented mood

You know what? though you are 100% right I just thought it was the only thing more clichè than a Rocky (and I mean "him") prequel........I just don't know why but it's how I feel........maybe the Master of Disaster was a little too larger than life to be prequel's material

I'd LOVE to see an Apollo prequel...oh YEAH! I know some of the games have backgrounds on the characters. What do they say about the Count of Montefisto?
