We need to get some fics on here guys - so lets bash some ideas about! If you come up with an idea that you would like to write yourself, then just say - 'this is my idea guys! i'm writing it!'. That way, no-one 'steals' your idea if you mention what you are going to write about. However, if you have many ideas but know that you would never write them yourself, why dont you voice them here and give someone else a chance to take the reigns and run with it, so to speak. Now I know ya'll have ideas cause i've heard them on total rocky!!

I would like to see a good writer explore what happened between the creation of the restaurant in '95 to the end of Adrian... say, a "Rocky V.5". It would be a ballsy move since it would be a Rocky story without him boxing *gasp*

Oh thats sounds really cool, Bum. They certainly would have a lot of material - and years - to explore there. Writing Adrians death would be a tough one. Anyone up for this?

As hard as it would be, I'd like to see a story about how Rocky and Adrian dealt with her illness. Believe it or not, it can be done without an excess of melodrama...
I sorta see it as Rocky in denial --- Rocky finally accepting -- Rocky seeing Adrian through to the end. If you're going to have someone in your corner at a time like that, Rocky's the one to have.
How did this effect Robert? Was Robert a help or hinderance to Rocky?
What about Paulie? What was he doing through the whole thing?
Who ran the business while Adrian was ill? Did she keep working?
What kinds of things did Adrian tell Rocky as the end neared? Don't be alone? Don't forget me? Don't let grief overwhelm you?
Who was at Adrian's funeral? Who saw Rocky through the initial grief?
As I said, this sounds morbid, but handled correctly, it could be uplifting and very moving without excessive melodrama.

For anyone who might happen to see this:
I didn't know whether to include this here or in RB section, but whatever. We've all heard about how Stallone killed off Adrian because that was really the best drama he could think of. I've got an altered storyline for RB that I'd like to run past... all one of you still here.
What if it were Rocky Jr. who had died... for whatever reason? What if it were Jr's grave that Rocky went to visit every day. What if, ironically, it were Adrian who was the strong one and Rocky couldn't get on with his life despite her urgings. It would be the same basic storyline, but just Adrian's alive while Jr is the one who's gone. In the story, Adrian would basically be the part of Marie in RB. When Rocky's having second thoughts about the climbing back into the ring thing, she could be like "You've passed all those tests. They say you're okay to fight. If this is something you need to do, then you should do it, " which summerily gets Rocky's mind right and he gets down to training. And for some reason, during the "Gonna Fly Now" montage, I can see Rocky carrying Adrian up the steps. Hey, it's just a natural progression from Rocky carrying Butkus up the steps like Sly wrote for the original film. And then at the end, Rocky would have successfuly unleashed the beast on Mason Dixon and forgiven life for what it did to Jr. and ready to move on to his twilight with Adrian in tow.
And for all of you out there going "Adrian wouldn't say that", well... now you know how I feel every time I see "Rocky IV."
So what do you think?

I like that idea Bum. However dont think the relationship between Rocky and his son was ever something that was focused on in the other films enough for us to feel empathy with his passing. We know how much he adored Adrian, how much she was the glue holding him together, which is why he feels so lonely even with his son still around. Plus, like I read in another post from you...'Adrian was all over RB'
However, from a story / fanfiction point of view, this would definately be a great avenue to explore! You should write it. Its a wonderful twist!
